Please disable pop-up blocker before clicking this link. Scorch installs automatically to Internet Explorer. You will see a sample music file when completed. Note: Scorch for Internet Explorer running on Windows is installed automatically as an ActiveX control. If you have Windows 7, Windows XP with the SP2 /SP3 upgrade or Windows Vista it will automatically block ActiveX installations as a safety precaution until you authorize it. If this is the case, Internet Explorer will display a message in yellow directly underneath the Address bar or at the bottom of the page for Windows 7.. Click on this message to ALLOW the install. Remember this software is certified as safe by McAfee.

In the meantime we recommend that you use Firefox 17 (Firefox 18, 19. and 20 for some reason is also blocking Scorch but is also being addressed by both Apple and Sibelius in a future update)

Linux Workaround as submitted by a customer

1. Turn pages
2. Changes which device you use for playback.
3. Playback controls and tempo slider.* Click play button to play from the start, or click on the score to play from that point or stop.
4. Change top instrument or key*
5. Save* This feature is not available for copyright works on this site. Your music is however saved in your download center (see below)

Note that not all files play midi, allows for change of instrument and transposing or even a free preview (i.e. .99 Fake / Real Book songs)
Make sure you pick the right format. Some songs do not have lyrics (Piano solo). If you pick the wrong song "DO NOT PRINT" as that will finalize the transaction with the publisher. Instead contact us and we will cancel and either offer a store credit or refund.
Use Page Up/Page Down and the up/down arrow keys to scroll up and down the score.
To play music in the background while you work, just set Scorch playing, then minimize the window!
*Not available for all scores. Some scores may only play an excerpt. You can not save copyright music to your hard drive. It is instead saved to your online account in your download center therefore accessible only by you from any computer or device that has an internet connection.. You have the ability there to create folders and organize your files.
To find out what version of Scorch you are using, Control-click (Mac) or right-click (Windows) on the Scorch window, then click About Scorch.
